Count by marking one example object
- Open the CHAAAM Object Counter and capture one camera frame, or choose a photo.
- Tap the center of a clearly visible object, then tap its outer edge. Alternatively, drag from the center to the edge to draw a sample circle.
- The tool compares the appearance within and around that circle to locations elsewhere in the same picture. No pixel diameter entry is required.
- Check the numbered circles and estimated total. Tap extra markers to remove them; tap missed objects to add them.
- Tap Save counted image to download the marked photo with the estimated quantity displayed on the image.
Transparent or shiny circular items
Use even diffuse lighting and a high-contrast, matte background. Mark an example with a visible boundary, not a highlight or a gap between objects. Overlapping and highly reflective items are challenging; verify every important count.
Does it work with boxes or different shapes?
A round sample is used as a sampling window; objects inside it can be circular, square or irregular. The matching method looks for a similar visual pattern at approximately the same size and orientation. Items rotated differently, partially hidden or of different sizes may be missed.
Can I use the live camera?
Yes. A live automatic estimate is available while the camera is open, but for difficult objects, capture the frame and mark one example circle for reference-based matching. The captured and counted images are processed in the browser.
Is the count guaranteed accurate?
No. CHAAAM uses image-pattern matching, not a certified inspection method or calibrated measuring device. Brightness, perspective, overlapping parts, mixed sizes and background patterns can cause false or missing results. Always manually verify the numbered markers for inventory or manufacturing use.
