How to add photos to a multipage PDF

Step-by-step instructions for placing, resizing, saving and sharing photos across PDF pages.

How to place a photo on a specific PDF page

  1. Open CHAAAM Add Photo to PDF and select an existing PDF from your device.
  2. Choose Place photo on an existing PDF page.
  3. Choose a page number and take a new photo or select a saved image.
  4. Drag the photo in the document preview and use the resize handle to adjust its size.
  5. Use Save photo to current page, then move to the next page. The saved placement is retained while you work.
  6. When finished, choose Create updated PDF. Open the new file and verify every page.

Same photo on every page

Select or capture the photo, then use Apply this photo to all pages. The tool assigns it to the pages of the selected document. You can replace the photo on a particular page afterward.

Different photo on each page

For a 10-page PDF, take photo A on page 1, photo B on page 2, and so on. Move back to previous pages to verify each saved assignment. A page can be left without an added photo.

Front and back camera

On supported phones, select the front or rear camera from the camera dropdown before taking a photo. Availability and permission prompts depend on your browser and device.

Download or share your result

The tool creates a new PDF without intentionally replacing your original file. It offers a download link and, on compatible devices, a Share PDF file action for the generated document. Your device decides which receiving apps are available.

Limitations and safety

Some protected, encrypted, very large or unusual PDFs may not be supported. Overlay placement can differ for cropped or rotated PDFs; inspect the result before relying on it. Editing a PDF with a digital signature may invalidate that signature. Browser tools load third-party code from content delivery networks, but document contents are processed locally by the app.
